About the Space

The NACC Official Logo

The Native American Cultural Center (NACC) is a vibrant, three-story space located at 26 High Street that many students consider more of a home than a center (although no faculty or students take residence in the space— its sole devotion is to student use). The NACC is open weekdays, Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Whether you’re stopping by to study, cook with friends, host a club meeting, or just power nap between classes, the NACC offers a welcoming, inclusive environment to do so. The space includes:

  • A cozy library and study room
  • A fully equipped kitchen, often used for student-led cooking and baking events— or just making a snack (the pantry is always stocked)
  • A computer lab, and one of the only spots on campus with free printing!
  • A flexible, first-floor accessible classroom/conference room
  • A comfortable lounge and big-screen TV room
  • A rotating third floor Indigenous art gallery and gathering space
  • The Three Sisters Garden
  • The iconic Wall of Nations, highlighting the diversity and scope of tribal nations and indigenous communities represented at Yale
  • Community murals and student art, featuring murals by Naima Blanco-Norberg ’25 and comedy group, The 1491s

The Native American Cultural Center seeks to nurture an enduring and vibrant Indigenous presence at Yale, serving as a hub for learning, engagement, and community-building. We aim to create a space where Indigenous knowledge is honored and shared, fostering a deeper understanding of Indigenous peoples’ contributions, struggles, and aspirations. We aim to equip students with the tools and knowledge to engage critically with Indigenous cultures, ideas, and histories.
